POINTS ON THE CURVE
– konferencia a térbeli zene múltjáról, jelenéről és jövőjéről –

A rendezvény a térbeli zenét, mint kialakulófélben lévő médiumot vizsgálja kritikai megközelítéssel. Zeneszerzők, hangdesignerek, és muzikológusok rövid előadások formájában elemzik a térbeli hang kialakulásának kulcsfontosságú kérdéseit: mi a története a tér hangzásbeli feltárásának? Melyek a zenei hangteresítésről szóló vezető elképzelések és iskolák, amelyek kialakították jelenlegi zenei topográfiánkat? Milyen új lehetőségeket nyithat a térbeli hang kérdésköre a jövőbeni hangzáskutatás és az új zenei formák számára? A konferencia programját nyilvános vita zárja.
A ’Points on the Curve’ konferencia a Liszt Ferenc Zeneművészeti Egyetem / Elektronikus Zenei Médiaművészet Szakirány és a 4DSOUND közös projektje.

POINTS ON THE CURVE
– conference on the Past, Present and Future of Spatial Music –

The event provides critical reflection and discussion on spatial sound as an emerging medium. A range of short lectures by composers, sound designers and musicologists will address key questions on the development of spatial sound as a medium: what is the lineage of the sonic exploration of space? What are the driving ideas and movements around sound and space that have shaped our present musical topography? What might spatial sound and immersive technologies open up for the future of sound exploration and new musical forms? The conference programme will culminate in a open-ended public discussion on the presented topics.
The ’Points on the Curve’ conference is a collaborative project of the Electronic Music Media Programme of the Liszt Academy and 4DSOUND.
The official language of the conference is English.
